Where does Treehouse offer installation services?

EV charger sales and installation services are currently available in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, Utah, Texas, and Virginia. We plan to expand to other states in the near future.

Does Treehouse provide a warranty?

Yes! Your installation is supported with a one year labor warranty and our EV chargers are backed by a three year manufacturer warranty.

Do I need a permit to install a Level 2 EV charger?

Accepted Answer

Yes, most cities require a permit to install a Level 2 EV charger. You'll want to ensure that your installation is correctly permitted for the following reasons:

Your family's safety: Permits ensure the installation meets safety requirements since Level 2 chargers are the highest load appliance in most households and present a major safety risk if not installed correctly.
Home insurance: Without a permit, your homeowners insurance may deny your claim in the event of an accident.
Rebate eligibility: If your utility provider or AQMD offers rebates for Level 2 EV charger installation, you will need to provide proof of permit approval for eligibility.

Does Treehouse guarantee the estimated price for installation?

Accepted Answer

We strive to honor the estimate in every case. The accuracy of your inputs in our estimate tool helps ensure we can complete the job at the estimated price. There are rare exceptions in which a home's electrical panel simply does not have the capacity to support a Level 2 charger and a panel upgrade is required. We explore every alternative before making this recommendation.

Can I get an estimate even if I don't know the details about my electrical panel?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Following the estimate, we may ask you to take photos of your electrical panel so we can confirm the estimated price. This also ensures that our electricians are prepared in advance and can complete the installation quickly.

Can Treehouse provide expedited service if I already own an EV?

Accepted Answer

We schedule appointments 7-14 days in advance. If you have an urgent need, please let us know and we are usually able to expedite service. However, please note that permit approval may require additional time and varies by city.

How do I maximize the available rebates for my home charger?

Treehouse can help you identify eligibility for rebates from your utility provider as well as rate plans that are optimized for home EV charging. Typically, only a brief consultation is required to help you maximize your savings.
